VA Hospital Boosterpaq In West Palm Beach

Grundfos Boosterpaq Quadruplex System MPC-EF-4CR45

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Job: VA Hospital

We recently did a startup on a Grundfos Boosterpaq System for the VA Hospital in West Palm for there domestic water supply here are some of the pictures of the setup. Sorry i left my camera so these were taken with my phone. This system was an incredible upgrade from their existing system featuring complete backup redundant pumps. All the pump motors on their own separate VFD drive and automation controls. With features like PC ethernet connection and Modbus interface they will be able to monitor all the pumps and systems right from their station through their Siemens interface. We are also excited about the energy efficiency of the system. The Grundfos CR Series pumps are among one of the most efficient pumps in the industries coupled  that to their VFD drives and you have a system that can pay back itself within a few of years.  Unlike Constant speed pumps with pressure reducing valves the VFD controls the motor speed reducing energy consumption an increasing efficiency. The use of VFD also allows for soft start which eliminates the starting amp draw where a motor pulls up to three times its running amps to start run which you find with constant speed pumps every time they start/stop. Water Conservation

Grundfos Comfort System

If your waiting for hot water, you’re wasting water in the process.

New Strategy for Existing Homes
Grundfos® innovation has developed a solution specifically for the existing home market. The Grundfos® Comfort System provides a unique and cost effective solution for your customers that will make them happy. The Average home wastes over 31 gallons a day and over 11,000 gallons a year waiting for hot water. That’s not just wasted water, that’s wasted money and wasted time. The Grundfos Comfort System pumps hot water through your existing pipes, so hot water is never wasted and comfortable water is always at hand – in an instant. Installation is easy. There’s no return line to install and no electricity required under the sink. Plus, the system uses less energy than a 25-watt light bulb.

Grundfos CR-H Multi-Stage

New Grundfos Multi-Stage CR-H Wins Second Innovation Award

Recognized by Pumps & System magazine for its product innovation, the Multi-Stage CR-H recently took the win and earned a second award for its groundbreaking technology.

Grundfos Pumps, Corp. received Pumps & System’s First Annual Product Innovation of the Year Award on November 3. The Multi-Stage
CR-H was voted in by the P & S Editorial Advisory Board based on the product’s improvement over current technology with actual use in the field.

This is the second Innovation award for the Multi-Stage CR-H, with the first awarded by Flow Control magazine in September.

The ultimate in dimensional interchangeability: Intended for industrial users of traditional ANSI pumps, the Multi-Stage CR-H provides an ANSI dimensional solution that will fit into an existing pump and piping footprint, offering optimized duty points to maximize pump efficiency and minimize internal wear, which lowers energy cost, increases pump life, and reduces maintenance.

Reduced downtime – seal changes in under an hour: Mechanical seal failures account for more than 75 percent of all pump failures. Besides parts and labor, production downtime can further increase costs associated with seal changes. In a traditional ANSI pump, the entire back pullout assembly must be removed from the baseplate and transported to a maintenance shop where the pump’s seal is replaced. This process can take several hours.

The CRH cartridge seal can be replaced right on the spot without pump removal, disassembly, or pump-to-motor alignment, and be completed in as little as 30 minutes.

E-Pump Option for even more energy savings: The Grundfos CR-H is also available with variable speed functionality, offering total control of the pumping system while providing maximum flexibility and as much as 80 percent reduction in energy costs.

Other Applications: The Grundfos CR-H end suction pump is also available in standard sizes for commercial building and irrigation applications.
